The Boot Room
GIVING EVERY CHILD A CHANCE
Providing a pair of boots for child(ren) isn’t always an easy thing to do when money is tight and you have to put food on the table. Children outgrow boots really quickly, often before the boots have had much wear. The Boot Room aims to recycle those boots to others that need them, at no cost to ensure that every child who wants to has a pair of boots to use.
How You Can Get Involved
You can donate boots at multiple locations already, with more to come in 2021, or you can post them to us. If you’d like to setup your own community Boot Room, then Contact Us (see below).
Carl Bradley (as seen on The Russell Howard TV Show - SkyOne
Carl was working as a football coach when he heard a parent say she wasn’t sure her child would be back next season because of the cost of providing boots. He went home and made plans to create The Boot Room. It took off instantly with hundreds of pairs of boots being donated. The Boot Room was recently featured on the Russell Howard Show on SkyOne, and here’s the video they showed. Carl’s aim is to create community Boot Rooms right across the UK so every child has the chance to get a pair of boots for free, no questions asked.
What You Can Donate
You can donate boots, shin pads and goalkeeper gloves at all locations or by post, some are also able to take shirt donations. If your local group can’t take a shirt donation you can always forward them to another location. More locations are being added in 2021.
You can donate any size of clean and usable boots to the Boot Room, we can take Football, Rugby or Astroturf boots of any brand or colour.
Gloves are another essential item for goalkeepers which can also work out to be expensive, so you can donate these too, again they need to be clean.
These are a vital piece of equipment for all footballers, and so we’ll happily take these if you have some that aren’t damaged.
Not all locations can take shirt donations, but you can always post them to another group or the original Boot Room location who will gladly take them.

Donate to help us grow.
We have a GoFundMe page setup to allow the project to continue to grow. This helps with all the ongoing costs towards running the scheme and helping others to setup their own Boot Room projects. If you are able to spare some cash to continue to make this happen across the country we would be very grateful.
